An airless bottle pump is a packaging container that uses a physical vacuum structure to dispense products, with the core function of isolating air contact to prevent cosmetics from oxidizing or contaminating and deteriorating. Its design, through the cooperation of the pump head and the vacuum chamber inside the bottle, utilizes internal negative pressure to push out the product when pressed, with no air entering throughout the process. It is an ideal packaging for sensitive formulas such as high-end skincare products and serums.
A typical airless bottle pump consists of a vacuum chamber (stores the product and maintains negative pressure), a piston pump head (pushes the product when pressed), a seal valve (prevents air backflow), and a bottle body (made of materials such as PP and PET, balancing durability and safety). Some products are also equipped with dust covers or transparent windows to enhance the user experience.
It is mainly used for cosmetics sensitive to air, such as serums, moisturizing creams, foundations, and eye creams. For example, active ingredients in serums (such as vitamin C and hyaluronic acid) are prone to failure due to oxidation, and airless bottle pumps can maximize the retention of their efficacy; foundations can avoid caking or color change caused by air contact.
Compared with traditional press bottles or dropper bottles, airless bottle pumps have stronger vacuum sealing, reducing product waste (such as residual products at the bottle mouth in traditional bottles, airless bottle pumps can dispense until the bottom); at the same time, their sterile design reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the product's shelf life.
Before filling, the airless bottle pump has formed a negative pressure environment inside the bottle (internal air pressure is lower than the external atmospheric pressure) through a vacuum pumping process. When filling, the product is injected into the vacuum chamber through special equipment to ensure no residual air in the chamber.
When the user presses the pump head, the piston inside the pump head moves downward, squeezing the product in the vacuum chamber. Since the chamber is under negative pressure, the product is "pushed" to the pump head outlet along the channel; at the same time, the seal valve (located at the connection between the pump head and the bottle body) automatically closes to prevent air from entering the chamber through the pump head.
After releasing the pump head, the piston rebounds under the action of the spring, and the negative pressure in the vacuum chamber will suck the product back into the chamber again (similar to the "straw" principle). At this time, the seal valve remains closed to ensure that the chamber is always in a vacuum state, avoiding air entry.
The entire dispensing process has no air entering the bottle, and the product is always isolated from the outside air. Even after multiple presses, the negative pressure in the vacuum chamber can still be maintained until the product is almost used up (some high-end airless bottle pumps can dispense more than 90% to the bottom).
Ningbo Yiziman Cosmetics Technology Co., Ltd.'s airless bottle pumps adopt advanced vacuum sealing technology, which can control the oxygen content in the bottle to a very low level (usually <1%), effectively preventing product oxidation and deterioration. For example, its "airless bottle pump" series designed for serums can extend the product's shelf life by 6-12 months, far exceeding traditional packaging.
As a leading supplier of cosmetic airless bottle pumps in China, Ningbo Yiziman provides full-process customization services;
Ningbo Yiziman has ISO 40001 Environmental Management System Certification (reflecting its commitment to sustainable development) and WCA Factory Inspection (compliant with international quality standards), ensuring that products undergo strict inspection from raw materials to production processes. Its airless bottle pumps use food-grade PP and PET materials, with no harmful substances leaching out, meeting the safety standards of cosmetic packaging in the EU, the United States, and other regions.
The company can produce more than 3 million cosmetic packaging units per month, with large-scale production capacity. Whether it is bulk orders (such as large-scale production by brand parties) or small batch customization (such as sample testing by start-up brands), it can respond quickly, ensuring delivery cycle (usually 15-30 days) and product quality stability.
Ningbo Yiziman pays attention to product details, such as pump head pressing feel (ergonomically designed, smooth and effortless pressing), bottle body anti-slip texture (preventing slippage during use), and seal valve sensitivity (ensuring no leakage risk), all of which have been repeatedly tested and optimized to improve consumer satisfaction with the product.
